Upcoming Event
How to Measure Any Performance of Any Function at Any Level
Date and Time: February 22 2012, 11:45 AM
Duration: 1 hour
Location: Virtual
Presenter: Mel Schnapper Ph.D.
This virtual session will focus on creating standards of performance using precise and rigorous qualitative and quantitative metrics. Mel Schnapper will have participants apply his “3Ms: Measure, Manage and Magnify” methodology to participants’ current and/or anticipated projects to show, in measurable terms, what the employer/client is paying for and how the value of the services can be increased.
Mel has been measuring performance since his days of training Peace Corps Volunteers and measuring linguistic fluency. More recently he has applied this methodology while at Oracle Corporation as Quality Manager, Global Project Management Service Line and while working internationally doing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for the UNDP, USAID, and other donor-sponsored projects. He is the founder of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Metrics SIG and has worked in both the US corporate sector and in over 20 countries in the areas of OD, training, and Change Management.
As a result of this presentation, participants will be able to describe:
- The proportionate value they create for any level of their ISD contribution
- This value in precise qualitative and/or quantitative metrics
- How value can be created at four standards of performance
- How to monitor and evaluate individual, team, departmental and/or corporate ISD progress and/or value
- How to use the metrics to increase team, hierarchical and cross-functional teamwork
