Federal Government SIG

Purpose

The purpose of the Federal Government Special Interest Group (SIG) is to:

  • Provide federal employees in all fields and other interested individuals with opportunities to think creatively about integrating learning and educational resources in their professional lives;
  • Interact with colleagues to gain insights on professional growth, networking, new ideas, and ways to perform work in an innovative manner;
  • Celebrate the wonder and joy of learning in the workplace.

The Federal SIG meets each month, in person.  Topics include e-learning, gaining leadership skills, upward career mobility, finding and learning from a mentor in the federal government, ROI in the public sector, and career transitional services for disabled veterans.

The Federal SIG welcomes the suggestions and input of individuals who would like to hear discussion about a particular topic or issue of interest.
